Scholarship Submission
Greetings,
We invite you to apply for the 2025 Pink Rose Foundation Scholarship Award. We are a non-profit organization established as the charitable affiliate of Eta Eta Omega Chapter of AlphaKappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The Pink Rose Foundation members will present scholarships in each of the two counties where our members live and work.
High school seniors in each county who excel in scholarship and community service will receive a first-place award of $2,000 or a second-place award of $1,000. The awards will be presented upon receipt of an acceptance letter and enrollment from the school of choice. Awards will be issued to the student and the receiving school. Please present the eligibility guidelines below to those students you know who meet the qualifications.
Eligibility, Criteria and Evaluative Guidelines:
Must be a graduating Senior
Must hold a minimum of 2.5 grade point average
Must submit completed application
Must attend an in state (Florida) or Historical Black College/University or Technical school
Must submit a 400 - 500-word, typewritten, double-spaced essay on the following topic:
A Future Innovation You Would Like to See
Discuss a technological, social, or cultural innovation you hope to see and how you would contribute to its development.
The applicant must submit a completed application signed by their school’s Guidance Counselor
by the deadline of Monday, April 2, 2025.
The link for submission of essays will expire on April 2, 2025.
The entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges from the Pink Rose Foundation, and points will be assigned using the following evaluative standard.
Uniqueness of Idea (40 points)
Quality of Essay (40 points) consists of the development of theme, originality, and style
Grammar and Spelling (10 points)
Appearance (10 points) includes neatness and format
Bonus points can be earned:
- Community Service (0 – 20 points)
- Copy of Transcript (0 – 10 points)
